The union’s speech was delivered by Dr. Ibrahim Assalia, who spoke about the Israeli violations against Palestinian journalists in the Gaza Strip, calling on the world and the international community to protect journalists and the Palestinian people from the Israeli killing machine. Among those honoured was the late journalist Hajar Harb of Al Arabiya, Al Hadath, Fox News, BBC Channel 4, The Guardian, Andulo Turkish news agency.
