The extremist and terrorist Ben-Gvir proposes a plan to displace Gaza’s population: A scheme for uprooting people under the guise of “voluntary migration.”
The extremist terrorist and Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, is preparing to unveil a new plan to displace the residents of the Gaza Strip. This move reflects the Israeli far-right’s determination to transform the concept of uprooting Palestinians from their land into an openly declared political project.
The plan, dubbed “Disengagement 710,” follows Ben-Gvir’s explicit calls for the displacement of Palestinians and the re-establishment of Israeli settlements in Gaza; he had even previously demanded the killing of dozens of Palestinians every night.
Ben-Gvir attempts to market this displacement under the label of “voluntary migration.” However, critics argue that the notion of “voluntariness” loses all meaning when proposed amidst war, destruction, blockade, and harsh humanitarian conditions. Under such circumstances, leaving becomes a choice forced by reality rather than a truly free decision.
The plan reveals a vision that extends beyond mere military pressure to a demographic and political reshaping of the Strip’s future, aiming to drive Palestinians out of Gaza and pave the way for renewed Israeli settlement.
Ben-Gvir’s move coincides with statements from Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz regarding Israel’s readiness to implement plans to remove Gaza’s residents, as well as efforts to secure US support in identifying destinations to which the Palestinians could be transferred.
