The General Union of Palestinian Journalists in the UK extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian press and media for their interest in and coverage of the Union’s participation in the film festival events and the screening of the Palestinian film “Palestine 36” in Cairo.
This media coverage reflects the deep interest of the Egyptian press and leadership in the Palestinian cause, as well as their historic role in keeping the voice of Palestine present within the Arab cultural and media landscape.
We also extend our profound gratitude and appreciation to Egypt—both leadership and people—for their supportive stance regarding the Palestinian cause, and for the embrace and backing they provide to the Palestinian people and their just cause.
From Cairo, the Union reaffirms its message that Palestine will remain present in media, culture, and cinema, and that the Palestinian truth deserves to be told and shared with the world.
Heartfelt thanks to the Egyptian press, and thanks to Egypt—its leadership and its people.
