For the First Time: Announcement of a Plan to Establish a New Palestinian Party Outside Traditional Organizational Frameworks
A new political initiative was announced today, aiming to establish an independent Palestinian party outside the framework of traditional Palestinian organizations and factions. This move has been described as an attempt to present a different political path based on civic action and democratic participation.
Those behind the initiative emphasized that the project seeks to offer a new vision for addressing the challenges facing the Palestinian people, moving beyond the polarization and political division that has characterized the Palestinian arena in recent decades.
In an interview with an Israeli radio station, Samer Sinjlawi stated that the initiative represents “an attempt to open a new political horizon outside traditional frameworks,” noting that the current stage requires different tools to address existing challenges.
Sinjlawi added that the new initiative calls on Palestinians within Israel to participate widely in the upcoming Israeli elections and increase voter turnout. He stressed that this call “does not stem from a desire to influence internal Israeli politics, but rather aims to utilize all available democratic means to serve pressing Palestinian issues, foremost among them contributing to saving Gaza and alleviating the humanitarian suffering of its residents.”
