Bashar Masri Commends Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s Decision to Hold Legislative and Presidential Elections
Ramallah – Palestinian businessman Bashar Masri welcomed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s decision to hold legislative elections in November 2026, considering this step an important milestone in strengthening the democratic process and renewing legitimacy through the ballot box.
Masri affirmed his full support for electoral lists characterized by democracy, integrity, and patriotism, stressing the importance of the elections reflecting the will of the Palestinian people and contributing to consolidating the principles of transparency and political pluralism.
He pointed out that the success of the electoral process requires providing an environment that guarantees fair competition, respects the election results, and enhances popular participation, in a way that serves the Palestinian national interest and supports the process of building and development.
